Two hundred high-school and college students will fan out across all twelve wards as paid Hartwell Youth Fellows — registering voters, staffing early-vote sites, and running the campaign’s social channels.
The fellowship pays $18 an hour for ten hours a week through Election Day, with school credit available at participating campuses. Fellows get training in voter registration law, public speaking, and video storytelling.
"Young people aren't the future of this city — they're the present," Hartwell said at the launch. "They knocking on doors their neighbors actually open." Applications closed in a record nine days; a waitlist remains open for spring service projects.

Fellows will be easy to spot in red Hartwell vests at early-vote sites starting October 24th. Say hello — half of them are first-time voters themselves.
