A teacher and students in a bright classroom

The plan

Full funding, universal pre-K, after-school everywhere.

Delphine taught fourth grade — she knows budgets are moral documents. As mayor she will fully fund the schools formula, add universal pre-K for four-year-olds, and put free after-school programs in every elementary school.

Teachers get a $3,000 classroom-supply stipend so they stop paying out of pocket, and every graduate gets a paid summer internship offer.

What's included

Four Commitments

  • Universal free pre-K for all four-year-olds by year two
  • Free after-school programs in every elementary school
  • $3,000 yearly classroom-supply stipend for teachers
  • Paid summer internship offer for every high-school graduate
